The layout of the apartment has been designed to accommodate a large number of guests in a space with few divisions in the public area and which at the same time ensures a high level of privacy in the private areas. In defining the new use of the space, in accordance with the client’s needs, much attention has been given to maximize the entering of daylight and the visual interrelationships between the different parts of the house, each with its own identity. The aim was to give the occupant various possibilities to move from one space to another, to create diversity inside the apartment as well as to enable the clients to enjoy the diversity of the neighborhood where they live.
One of the subjects followed during the design of this apartment is the contrast, played by the choice of colors, volumes and materials. The neutral tones of the apartment are broken by elements in black; solids are dug by steep cuts that interrupt the continuity of the surfaces creating voids; the smoothness of the wood is broken by the sharpness of the metal; the regularity of the spaces is interrupted by the introduction of extraneous volume.
